Live At Lowry's

'Live at Lowry's' is the first album of traditional Irish Music and Song by Lowry's Famous Tuesday Session group recorded live at Lowry's music bar in Clifden, the wonderful Capital of Connemara. The proceeds are donated to the Galway Hospice for Cancer Care who looked after Paul Joyce (RIP), the proprietor of Lowry's Bar. This session is held every Tuesday throughout the year and has been enthralling visitors and locals alike for the last ten years. The recording features John Gerard Walsh and his daughter Marie Walsh, both all-Ireland champions, on button accordian and fiddle respectively, Michael Conneely on banjo (current Galway champion), Sean O'Farrell and Isabelle Pitorre also on banjoes, Yves Pitorre on concertina and Peter Carey (steel guitar) and Alan Shattock (Spanish guitar) on vocals. The Tuesday Sessions are hosted by Paul's welcoming wife Eilish Lowry and son Damien, together with Amanda, Donal and their lovely staff. Everyone is also grateful to Amanda for photography, to Karl at K & G studios for mastering and to Caroline Herriott of Cuan Mara Design for artwork and to the famous Austrian artist Manfred Url for his lovely painting of Lowry's Bar on the front cover of the CD.
