Product Description

Riding the crest of the massive American metal resurgence wave is The Columbia, S.C.-based band, Lowercase Gods. The band's sound has been described as 'Rush meets Slayer,' and 'Megadeth plays Frank Zappa.' With elements of prog, thrash, ambient and classic hard rock, the Lowercase Gods sound is unique and powerful. In the fall of 2010, Minneapolis, Minn.-based guitarist/songwriter John Huiett began writing a metal concept album with the hopes of getting his dream band to play on it. The only problem was that the band's members were scattered across the United States, with lead guitarist Steve Kohn living in Los Angeles, and bassist Scott Kimmell and drummer Mark Lutton based out of South Carolina. The process of collaboration started via the web, and Huiett made several trips to California and South Carolina to solidify the songwriting and create demos. Huiett relocated to South Carolina in April 2012 and work began in earnest on the band's self-produced debut album with Kimmell and Lutton, recording at Lutton's home studio, The Cell. Lead vocalist Web Hulon joined the band in the fall of 2012, with his powerful, legacy-metal voice - equal parts grind and soar - completing the Lowercase Gods lineup. The debut Lowercase Gods album, Pull the Trigger, is a dark and heavy-as-hell roller coaster ride that tells the story of a psyche damaged by attempted spiritual suicide. It's debut single, Omniphobic, was released in April, and the video for the song was released in May. A second single, 'Talking Rudely of the Dead,' debuted in August. All have made major noise on Facebook and Reverb Nation, helping to keep Lowercase Gods in Reverb Nation's in the top 10 of local metal charts. Pull The Trigger now sees it's proper official release in September 2013. A concept album in three acts, Pull The Trigger takes the listener through the twisted hallways of a damaged soul, slamming doors and shattering windows in the process. The album is a disturbing psychological thriller set to a hammering metal soundtrack.
