1955年にミラノとアムステルダアムで録音された9曲と1956年のNYとハリウッドでの4曲を収録した、まさに“ジャズのアンバサダー”、サッチモの面目躍如のアルバム。“Clarinet Marmalade”“Someday You''ll Be Sorry”“When The Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin'' Along”の3曲がLP発売時には未収録の曲。当時サッチモは、ビング・クロスビーとグレース・ケリーとの共演が話題になった映画『上流社会』でも出演、黒人としては大きな地位を築きつつあった。
