We The People takes you on a trip through the USA, from Capitol Hill to Dallas Texas, while meandering through small towns, including Lou's own hometown in Northern New Jersey, while venturing out to the Bronx and beyond. Lou's perceptive eye shines a light on what ails our country and culture - greed and the role money plays in our politics in songs like Citizen's United and Tonight. In Hey Jesus and Happy American Solstice Lou points out the hypocrisy of religious leaders and questions the true 'reason for the season'. Yet songs like Record Store and Home Is Where The Heart Was take us back to Lou's youth and are autobiographical in nature for this first generation American of Cuban descent. While We The People examines how a tragedy like the shootings in Newtown, CT weigh on us as a nation, Dominguez can still turn around to lighten up and deliver a comical talking blues narrative in The Facebook Song. Unfortunately, a true story, but perfect fodder for a writer. With a new record in the works and only 300 Facebook Friends, Lou sent some friend requests to friends of his friends.
