「ケンプにリストは、、、」と勝手に想像し...

「ケンプにリストは、、、」と勝手に想像していた小生ですが、どうしてどうして見事に裏切ってくれました。ホロヴィッツのロ短調のように、聴き手に有無を言わせない圧倒的な迫力も素晴らしいですが、このような語り掛ける演奏でリストを聴くのも一興です。しかし、ケンプには本当に楽しい思いをさせていただきました。

Wilhelm Kempffは自分にとって、命の恩人のような音楽家ですが、その晩年の録音のうちで、これだけは恥ずかしながら未聴でした。正直、年に一度も積極的にLisztを聴かない人間なので、Liszt演奏としての客観的レビューの資格なぞ無い自分ですが、Kempff晩年の演奏としては、Brahmsのピアノ作品集（Original LPで2枚）に匹敵する演奏ではないでしょうか。作品の一つ一つの深奥に沈潜し、作品と一体となり、いつしか聴いている自分も別の世界に連れて行かれてしまう。それでいて、決して人間離れした感覚は微塵もなく、Kempffの築く世界はどこまでも深く人間的で、慈しみに満ちています。ラスト2曲の大らかな感動は、月並みな言い方で恐縮ですが、やはりこの20世紀を代表するピアニストでなければ得られないものと思いました。Kempffによってクラシック音楽の世界に導かれて数十年、Kempffに出会えたことの幸せを今、再び噛みしめています。
