ライオネル・リッチーのソロ２作目となる大ヒットベストセラーアルバムです。全８曲に捨て曲無しの完璧な作品です。間違いなく彼の最高傑作アルバムでしょう。本作が当時ビルボード全米アルバムチャートにおいて、マイケル・ジャクソンの「スリラー」、ヒューイ・ルイス＆ザ・ニュースの「スポーツ」、ビリー・ジョエルの「イノセント・マン」、カルチャー・クラブの「カラー・バイ・ナンバーズ」と激戦を繰り広げていたのを懐かしく思います。グラス片手に聴きたい大人のアルバムです。
