ブルーノート410０番台最終の本作は、ジョー・ヘンダーソンを迎えたクインテット編成によるジャズ･ロック的なアプローチで人気盤になった作品。“月の砂漠”の演奏は意外に日本人には違和感があるが、それでも今聴くとなかなかの名演といえる。ジョー・ヘンダーソンとのフロントはマッチングもよく、『サイドワインダー』で一躍人気者になったモーガンが、その後のリズム面での探求の結果をオリジナル曲に集約した、中期モーガンの作品の中では人気の高いアルバム、。「月の砂漠」が収録されたことで日本では違う意味でジャズ喫茶でも人気のアルバムだった。ピアノはロニー・マシューズ。
