Digitally re-mastered two CD set that contains the complete contents of the original Atlantic label LPs Worthwhile Konitz and Inside Hi Fi, which contain all of Konitz' 1956 quartet recordings. Among the highlights are the sides featuring Konitz, Jimmy Rowles, Leroy Vinnegar and Shelly Manne. This exact formation would never record again. 1956年のQUARTET演奏集？に翌年録音の『The Real Lee Konitz』がﾌﾟﾗｽされている。収録の目玉は録音当時お蔵入り、後年日本人によって発掘されたLP廃盤の『Worth Whilie Konitz』。M.G氏のお薦め盤として『Worth〜』を知り（中身は知らないまま）、CD化を機会ある毎に販売会社へ訴えていただけに嬉しい！ HMVﾚﾋﾞｭｰや録音ﾃﾞｰﾀが無いため収録曲ﾃﾞｰﾀのうち『Inside Hi Fi』と『Real〜』の収録曲を除いて確信して購入。12月のﾛｽｱﾝｼﾞｪﾙｽ録音7曲は、ｼﾞﾐｰ･ﾛｳﾙｽﾞ、ﾘﾛｲ･ｳﾞｨﾈｶﾞｰ、ｼｪﾘｰ･ﾏﾝをﾊﾞｯｸにｸｰﾙじゃないKonitzのｽﾀﾝﾀﾞｰﾄﾞが聴ける。また、『Inside〜』未収録の9月26日録音の2曲はKonitzはtsで「You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To」「I Remember You」を演奏。「You’d〜」は『Motion』と全く違う。12月には Warne Marshの『Jazz Of Two Cities』が東芝EMIから発売されるのが今から楽しみ。「Kary’s Trance（『Inside〜』）」はやっぱり、My Favorite！！
