リー・コニッツ、チャーリー・ヘイデン、ポール・モチアンという大ベテランの巨人の中にジャズの未来を背負う若き天才ブラッド・メルドーが参加したライブ作品。ブラッド・メルドーというと先進的といかどこか奇をてらったところがあるアルバムを出すときもある印象だが、本作はそういったところのないオーソドックスな「ジャズ」が聴ける。白熱する場面もあるにはあるが全体としてはリラックスした印象の演奏が続く印象で、非常に聴きやすい。キャリア的にもコニッツが頭一つ抜けているからか、基本的にはコニッツの演奏が全面に出ている。とはいえ四身一体といった演奏なので、参加しているどのプレイヤーが好きでも聴き所のある良盤だと思う。
