Time Off For Bad Behavior

Just a few short years ago, Lee Holiday couldn't even walk to the stage, let alone stand at the microphone and deliver one of the powerful vocal performances that's made her famous. Struck by a rare nerve disorder in 2006, Lee was confined to a wheelchair and told by doctors that she'd probably never walk again. The doctors obviously didn't know Lee. Determined to perform again, Lee Holiday eventually got back on her feet and in front of the microphone. Along the way, she was joined by guitarist and arranger Chris Sheafor, who encouraged Lee's first steps back to the stage, and drummer Andy Sheafor, Chris' son and frequent musical collaborator. Completing the lineup was bassist Richard Cox and veteran sax player and singer Chris Ingham. The result was the R&B-flavored Lee Holiday and the Time Off, one of the newest and most exciting bands to come out of the thriving music scene of Fort Collins, Colorado. Now Lee Holiday is singing like there's no tomorrow 'Time Off for Bad Behavior' is the next logical step for Lee Holiday. Filled with clean arrangements and powered by a tight rhythm section, the 12 tracks on 'Time Off for Bad Behavior' showcase Lee Holiday's soulful and sassy vocal style. In addition to hook-heavy originals such as 'Confused, 'Side to Side' and 'Real World,' Lee and the band also put a new spin on classic Etta James, as well as on new works by contemporary singer-songwriters Brooke Frasier and Sweet Talk Radio.
