Family Tree

Leather & Lace was born of music. Music is in their heritage, in their soul, and in the very DNA that make L&L the fastest growing country music band in Northwest PA. Leather & Lace is Drew, David, and Darla, three siblings who have been singing and playing together since they were old enough to pick up an instrument. Two generations ago, two young men from the mountains and coal mines of western Pennsylvania came together each week to create music as a way to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. One was a WWII veteran who entertained his fellow soldiers with the mandolin he kept strapped to his back throughout the war, and the other was a shrewd businessman with a heart filled with song. Those two friends, one man as talented as they come and the other with a love of music like no other, soon began playing at family gatherings and back yard county jams, and became a sought-after group for festivals and events at the time. A generation later, the eldest child of each of the friends, who played and sang together as children, fell in love as adults. With the same natural talent and love of music as their fathers, the young couple started their own musical family traditions with their three children, Drew, Darla, and Dave. The seeds of music were planted, the roots of Leather & Lace took hold, and the musical family tree grew. Two decades later, in 2011, a new family tradition began as Leather & Lace is formed and the sibling trio has become a strong musical force.
