Product Description

Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe two CD edition of this 1964 album from the British Rock legends including a plethora of bonus tracks. The Kinks first came to prominence with their third single, You Really Got Me, written by Ray Davies. It became an international hit, topping the charts in the United Kingdom and reaching the Top 10 in the United States. Consisting largely of covers and revamped traditional songs, this album was released in October 1964, reaching #4 on the UK chart. The group's fourth single, 'All Day And All of the Night', another original hard rock tune, was released three weeks later, reaching #2in the United Kingdom, the next singles, 'Set Me Free' and 'Tired of Waiting for You', were also commercially successful, the latter topping the UK singles chart. This expanded edition come with deluxe packaging and a bonus disc of rare material all remastered from original tapes.

私にとってのキンクスの最高傑作！ 荒削りであるが、勢いがすごい！オリジナルもそうですが、ボーや チャックのカバーを彼等流に見事に料理している。 個人的に、このファーストはストーンズのファーストより良いと思う。

この飛躍的な音質改善は凄い！とにかくｽﾃﾚｵ･ﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝを聴く為だけに買い替えても十分に元が取れる。時代的に歌と演奏が左右に分離してしまうのは仕方ないのだが、ﾄﾞﾗﾑとﾍﾞｰｽがｾﾝﾀｰ固定されていて本作は全然違和感を感じない。ﾓﾉ音源の方も以前のﾘﾏｽﾀｰ盤を聴く気が起きない程の音圧の向上ぶりだ。唯一残念なのはﾕｰ･ﾘｱﾘｰ･ｶﾞｯﾄ･ﾐｰはﾓﾉ音源しか無い事か…中途半端に強引なﾘﾊﾞｰﾌﾞ処理しているのは頂けない。それ以外は不満らしい不満は無く、最近のﾘﾏｽﾀｰ仕様ではぴか一の仕事ぶり！
