ABOUT KEVIN WADE FORBUSH 'Born and raised in my early years in south eastern Idaho, I grew up with two older brothers who were always playing around with record players, speakers and various guitars. I also remember my dad having an old arch-top jazz guitar we all took a turn playing with. The music of the day was The Beatles. Their music had a great affect on me. I remember acting out at my elementary school auditorium and lip syncing to songs like I Wanna Hold Your Hand from the Meet The Beatles album. I was in second grade when they landed in America and they changed music history from that point on. At that time I also discovered the guitar wizardry of Chet Atkins from a Christmas album my dad gave to me. I still have the album to this day. Among my several other influences were the bands America, Eagles, Doobie Brothers and Clapton. The sound I gravitated to in most of this great music were compositions performed with the acoustic guitar. I found a great love for the acoustic steel string guitar over the years and have since included the nylon string guitar to my palette. My own music as a singer/songwriter reflects my style mixed with those I grew up listening to. I've been privileged to perform in such venues as The Bluebird Cafe', The Broken Spoke, and the downtown Acoustic Cafe' in Nashville Tennessee. Another great highlight was performing at several venues for the 2002 SLC Winter Olympics including the Disney stage in Park City and the Medals plaza in downtown Salt Lake City. Locally across the Wasatch Front I can be found playing at a local amphitheater, resort, fair, or an intimate sound cafe'.'
