Product Description

This album was originally intended to be a demo, just a decent recorded collection of my non-metal original music. It soon passed to be a major project and a labor of love. Thanks to the efforts of Kristoph Klover (of the Celtic rock band: Avalon Rising) working as engineer, co-producer and contributing musician, the album is a fine amalgamation of rock, Latin, reggae and psychedelic sounds colored with breathtaking guitar tones. Musicians featured on the album are Micheal Meagher (Lonesome Locomotive & Greg Cross band) playing bass on all the songs, Kenny Meagher (Black Rose, Dead Guise) on drums with cameos of Bob Sicotte (Dead Guise) and Scott Irwin (Avalon Rising). Kristoph Klover and Margaret Davis (from Avalon Rising) provided vocal support and instrument embelishment. The first song on the CD, titled Alone describes the angst of experiencing the loss of a loved one. The second track with a Latin vibe; Divisadero came about after my father's heart attack; while driving to the San Francisco medical center where my Dad was staying at, I crossed the street Divisadero and thought to myself what a nice name for a song. The third song He Had Everything penned with the help of Bill Desmidt (of the group Gravity +2) was intended to be a blues hard rocker but we just couldn't get the right vibe in the studio. On a lark we decided to jam it acoustically and were pleasantly surprised by the results. Papa Don't has a reggae vamp and like many reggae tunes describes social injustice such as drug enforcement, war and greed. Sometimes is a sexy rocker about how I missed my wife while away for a long time. The sixth track; fast paced rocker My Friend is about various relationships with double meanings. The instrumental Paradigm puts the listener on a psychedelic journey, close your eyes and you can see the music breathe. The tune Yesterday's Future was written a few years back with the help of Mick Flaire (of the SF band Dog Beaver) and provides a warning with a positive outcome-as long as mankind can develop the will to find solutions. The ninth track She's My Lady was written due to the innuendos from my wife, Adele, as to why I was not writing enough love songs (about her). The final cut was just an instrumental jam that came about during a rehearsal; it was so cool and spontaneous that we had to leave it as is, with boinks and all.
