About the CD This CD is the debut release of Katlee. Kat sings the new songs from the songwriting team of Scott Birney and Jeff Bove, who have again collaborated to create this magical set of music. The CD also includes a remake of Joe McDonald's (of Country Joe and the Fish) 1967 classic Rock Coast Blues. But there is even more to this project. It includes performances by two other members of Kat's musical family, her father, renowned keyboard player and vocalist Lindsay Lee, and Kat's brother, David Lee, who played all of the percussion and served as the mix engineer. The CD captures the virtuoso violin performances of David Poland and the versatile lead guitar work of Tom Alderson. Bassist Randy Coleman joined on High Definition and Acid Rain. The instrumentation includes numerous acoustic guitars, a grand piano, and a variety of percussion instruments. About Katlee Kat started singing as soon as she arrived in the world twenty-one years ago and hasn't stopped since. As a member of the totally musical Lee family (Kat's mother Sandra sang on Jeff's last project), Kat became a true studio cat during this project. Her voice moves from rock and roll to modern folk, to Celtic to country to pop and soft lullabies, and then on over to some serious blues songs. Kat's versatility, range, pitch and tonal qualities are truly exceptional. We are thrilled to feature her on this project and introduce her to the world.
