Katie Tomlinson is a singer, actor, entrepreneur, wife, and mother living in Manhattan. Originally from Seattle, she moved to New York in 2005 to further her career in musical theatre. Katie has appeared in the Broadway or Broadway national touring companies of Jersey Boys, The Pirate Queen, and White Christmas. She has also appeared in numerous regional theaters across the country, has recorded two solo albums, and has sung on three original cast recordings. Katie's love of music as well as children made recording this album a natural choice. She wanted to offer a collection of traditional songs with new interpretations. In order to introduce children to different genres of music, each of the 'playtime' songs highlights a distinctive style and musical genre. The 'dreamtime' songs are solo piano arrangements of the playtime songs, offering recognizable tunes in lullaby settings. We hope you enjoy Down By the Riverside!
