アーティストとしては当然であるが、自己の作品に対する評価がだんだん厳しくなり、練っても練っても納得いかない、そんな状況に迷い混んだ中で発表したアルバム。そのせいかなんとなく重い雰囲気がただようアルバムだと自分では感じていた。しかしそんな時期だからこそ「いつもまじめに君のこと」「秋、多摩川にて」などの秀曲を残せたのではないかとも思える。
