Product Description

British/American singer, Julian Wild, is new to the New York jazz scene, having spent beneficial years in most other aspects of the entertainment industry. A seasoned professional in the musical theater, his first love was, and is, Jazz. 'Wild About Jobim' is Julian's second album for Midtown Jazz Records; and, while showing the range and scope of his jazz credentials, he lends his unique innate musicality to the work of the celebrated and beloved Brazilian Bossa-Nova composer, Antonio Carlos Jobim. A longtime vision of Julian Wild's was to bring together the cream of the best musicians in the New York area and to make this album of Jobim's most beautiful and tender songs: those songs he could connect to as a singer, songs which had a meaning and a significance to him. In 'Wild About Jobim', Julian shares his most personal of vocal interpretations of Jobim's work, with a feeling and a connection that is evident to anyone who hears him sing these songs. The results are perfectly mellow!
