米カリフォルニア州インディオのエンパイア・ポロ・クラブで2023/10/6~10/8に開催された超豪華６バンドによるメタル・フェス＜パワー・トリップ＞に出演したジューダス・プリースト。そのライヴ開始を告げるブラック・サバスの「ウォー・ピッグス」が流れた直後、ステージに設置された映像スクリーン上でニュー・アルバムの発売が正式に発表された。アルバム・タイトルは『Invincible Shield』（インヴィンシブル・シールド）。オリジナル・スタジオ・アルバムとしては全米チャート５位と過去最高位を記録した2018年の『ファイアーパワー』以来６年振り、通算19作目となる。バンドは2024年３月11日のグラスゴーを皮切りにUKツアーを開始、同月21日にはロンドンのOVOウェンブリー・アリーナ公演も決定している。キャリア50年を超えるジューダス・プリーストは、全アルバムの累計セールス5000万枚以上を誇り、2022年には「ロックの殿堂」入りを果たした。
