These arrangements wrote themselves, from my piano and my voice and my heart, coming out of my musical life and musical loves. There are swining jazz trios and quintets-reminiscent of Vince Guaraldi. Vocals have a mostly Blossom Dearie meets mosty Diana Krall meets a bit of Norah Jones quality From my background as a classical pianist comes a Theme and Variations on the 'O Come Little Children'-just piano and bowed bass. An ethereal Enya like arrangement of What Child Is This People have reacted so positively to this CD. They tell me it's refreshing, that it's fun, that they just plain like it. All different kinds of people with all different tastes. So I know I have done something that goes across musical categories, which is a pretty great thing.
