この年は洋楽界では女性歌手の活躍が目立った。マライヤ、マドンナ、ジャネットはもちろん。シェリル・クロウ、ドナ・ルイス、アラニス・モリセットの登場。そしてこの人だ。クールなサウンドが流行っていた時代にこれだけコテコテ、ドロドロのブルース混じりのロックを聴かせるのは大したもの。後に殿下もカヴァーした名曲『ｏｎｅ　ｏｆ　ｕｓ』、この1曲を聴くだけでも買う価値はありますね。自分の何処か遠くへ行きたくなる音楽の一枚です。

今でもよく聴いています。発表当時はショップで平積みされていたのを思い出します。グラミーにもノミネートされていましたよね。リリス・フェアにも出ていたし。R＆B、BLUESベースの落ち着いたサウンドに彼女のパワフルなヴォーカルが絡み、なかなか聴かせます。今更ですが、実力派シンガーでも後のプロモーションなどが整っていないとせっかくの才能にも陽が当たらない...。⑥は今聴いても本当に良い曲です。機会あれば一聴をお薦めします。
