Jibe West is a band originating from diverse roots. Through their music you can hear the broad range of bands that inspire the members, bringing together a fusion of influences ranging from The Beatles to Pink Floyd and Gomez to OAR. This combination of inspirations creates music rich in soul, style and intensity; a genre that is difficult to classify, but has been most closely identified as a driving indie folk rock. Jibe started from a simple formula; a pair of acoustic guitars and a passion for music. As the years progressed, the sound has diversified as electric guitar, bass, percussion, saxophone, and keys have been tastefully integrated into the mix. Regardless of how you categorize their sound, audiences agree it creates a dynamic musical atmosphere. After graduating with various Engineering degrees, the members acquired professional jobs and found themselves suddenly spread across the eastern seaboard. Their locations initially appeared detrimental, but has now evolved itself into an advantage for the band. With a knack for traveling and the road to call home, Jibe West is able to travel all over the east coast playing a wide range of venues allowing the members of Jibe to spread their music to more audiences in more places. With every passing show, people have come together to create a loyal and dedicated following willing to travel where ever the band may go. It is the band's desire to spread their music and experience all that life has to offer. Combining this mentality with their willingness to pour it all back into the music has blessed the band with growth and progression, reaching new musical heights.
