1988年にフランスでリリースされたジェフ・ガードナーの初期傑作ピアノトリオ。90年代に入り寺島靖国氏が雑誌に取り上げ再評価された作品。エディ･ゴメスのベースのアンプ臭は、少しマイナス評価ですが、トリオ3人のインタープレイとガードナーの陰影感溢れたピアニズム、リズム陣のダイナミズムが交錯し、美旋律とともに、舞い上がります。現代ピアノトリオの秀作。
