選曲に中途半端感があるのは仕方ないかな。デヴィッド・シルヴィアンのチョイスじゃないだろうし。安価で購入できるなら損は無いと思う。RoxyMusicあたりを好きな人にもオススメ。

camdenからの９６年の隠れたレア珍盤『In vogue』に次ぐコンピ。「Quiet life」７inch-versionや「Life in tokyo(日本ＬＰ盤assemblage remix)」が入っているが現行の他のリマスター盤で容易に聴けるので、目玉となるレアトラックがないのは『The very best of japan』が流通している今ではもうひとつ押しが足りない。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　珍しく「tin drum」からのシングル２曲を収録している。これだったら、「Gentlemen take poraloids」の未ＣＤ化曲「Burning bridges」シングルmixのようなレアテイクを１曲でも入れて欲しいところだ。virgin時代のＪＡＰＡＮ及び各メンバーソロのＣＤ未収録曲・テイクがアルバム１枚分は十分あるので、今後そういう企画を是非。
