It will surprise many people to learn that Jane Russell, the glamorous Hollywood sex symbol could sing, and this CD is proof of her versatility! Although she recorded quite regularly throughout the late 1940's and the 1950's her singing ability was always overshadowed by her sultry sexy film star image. However the singing heard in films like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Gentlemen Marry Brunettes, Montana Belle and The French Line was hers and not dubbed. 1950年代の女優ですが、このヴォーカルが最高です。バックミュージックを抑えてセクシーに語りかける歌は、声というものがひとつの素晴らしい楽器になるのだな・・と改めて感じさせてくれます。最高です。
