Fun Under The Sun

Philadelphia's legendary punk rock band Informed Sources railed against that genre's stylistic constraints with a literate approach to lyrics and thoughtful-but-powerful arrangements. That adventurous musical spirit infuses Fun Under the Sun, comprised of more than two dozen songs (most never officially released) from studio recordings, concert soundboard tapes, and live radio concerts - including some surprise voices from Philadelphia radio's past. The album consists of three sections: PART ONE - IN THE STUDIO Ten tracks from three studio sessions recorded in 1982 and 1983. PART TWO - ON STAGE AND ON THE AIRWAVES Fourteen tracks selected from Informed Sources radio concerts and live recordings. PART THREE - FROM THE END TO THE BEGINNING In the summer of 2012, Informed Sources regrouped with two studio recordings, singer Matt Mulhall stepping in for the late Joe Stack. Those songs are followed by the earliest studio recordings of the nascent band.
