1曲目の「SECTOR 17」は素晴らしい。骨太でパワフルなブラス・ジャズロック。インタープレイも充実していてます。 しかし、アルバム全体の印象は、アメリカン・テイストのファンキーな雰囲気。 メロウでウェットなブリティッシュ的な重厚感を期待すると少々肩透かしをくらいます。 特に、3曲目のような捻りのないストレートでファンキーなヴォーカル曲はブリティッシュ派にはイマイチ。 まぁでも、好みの問題で、ジャズロックとしては素晴らしいアルバムだと思います。 私は、無骨な重厚感がある1stが一番好きですが…。
