The second volume of Hugo Montenegro's own unique interpretations of classic film songs, this album covers the years 1938 to 1944 and captures many of the greats from that era, including Over The Rainbow from The Wizard Of Oz, I Remember You from The Fleet's In and The Last Time I Saw Paris from Lady Be Good. Of course, Hugo would find later fame for his own film scores, but this is a useful insight into how quickly he adapted to the genre. Hallmark.

嘗て音の生々しさで知られた米TIME RECORDS には多くのムード音楽がありましたが、ウーゴ・モンテネグロはその中心となるアーティストでした。時代的にはＲＣＡに移籍する前ということになります。 この録音もTIMEが原盤ですが、板起こし特有のノイズもなくHALLMARKとしては良心的な一枚です。
