Product Description

House of Melody hails from Gravel Ridge, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee. Our debut CD 'Turn It Up' features 4 classic Southern Rock songs that we all know and love, but arranged in a more modern and hard charging way while still preserving the legacy of the tracks. The Needle and the Spoon was recorded at world famous Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, with legendary engineer/producer Pete Matthews. Pete is the founder of Evanesence who is a Grammy winner and responsible for sales close to 100 million dollars. The remaining three songs were recorded at House of Melody Recording Studios in Gravel Ridge, Arkansas. What you will hear is in your face rock and roll. No studio tricks, no digital plug ins, just well arranged tracks, great gear, and some serious playing. House of Melody's band is made up primarily with Steve Kish Moody, James L. Burke III, Nick Carter, and Steve Shatzer. We brought in major label recording artist friends of ours to help with The Needle and the Spoon. Thanks to Rickey Shelton, Landon Moore, and Rick Steff. Rhythm guitarist, James L. Burke III, is the owner of Blues City Music located in the suburbs of Memphis, Tennessee. He used a variety of exclusive boutique gear on his parts of this album including a one off Soldano SLO-100, Diamond Amplification Custom Shop Spitfire II, Louis Electric KR 12, and an all original 1969 Marshall Super Lead Tremolo 100 watt head, while playing a totally customized Gibson Les Paul Standard and Tom Anderson Cobra S. Steve Kish Moody used his Splawn Quick Rod and Splawn Nitro while playing a Gibson Les Paul Classic, Gibson Explorer, National Dobro, and Fender Jazz and Precision bass. Nick Carter used Gretsch drums with a mix of Zildjian and Paiste cymbals. Rickey Shelton used Ayotte drums and Zildjian cymbals. Landon Moore used a Music Man bass. Rick Steff used a 1960's Hammond A-100 organ with Leslie. This is the way we rock in Gravel Ridge, so 'TURN IT UP'.
