'Daiya Monde' is a striking debut recording by the Osaka-born artist. Featuring lead singles 'B'coz I Love You' and 'My Sweet Darlin', the 11-track set is packed with her positive lyrics and remarkable storytelling skills. Less polished than her recent work, these folk-rock songs are surprising gems.

ジャケで食わず嫌い(聞かず嫌い？)というか、なかなか手を出さなかったんですが、やっとのことで買って聞きました。 感想は、良かったです。 1stにしてこんないいアルバムが作れるなんてって思いました。「もしものうた」を聞くまでは。この一曲があったせいで「…え”？」って感じになりました。歌い方が好きになれません。 How?からmy sweet darlin’までの流れが好きです。 「もしものうた」がなければ間違いなく評価は「最高！」でした。 たぶんこの１曲だけはもう二度と再生しないと思います。。

YAIKOは結局のところ、６０〜７０年代ロックの最高のエッセンスを今、演ってるのである。しかも猿まねではなく、完璧に消化しオリジナリティを持って疑念を抱かせない。是非、７０年代ブリティッシュロック世代に聴いてもらいたい！　いずれは’Darkside of the Moon’に劣らぬコンセプトアルバムを送りだしてくれるものと期待する。それだけまわりのメンバーもすごいのだ！
