From Another Room

FROM ANOTHER ROOM Davey's solo pianoscapes are a series of improvisations inspired by text and pictures. The album was recorded one weekend in Zurich during the unusually cold winter of 2006/2007. Davey went into the studio with a handful of imagery, placed them in turn onto the music stand and played a spontaneous soundscape ('sound-painting') to each one. Cet album fut enregistr Zrich pendant l'hiver particulirement froid de 2006. \'Je suis alle au studio avec une petite collection de trsors de textes et d'images rassembles au fil du temps. J'ai plac chaque image l'une aprs l'autre sur le pupitre et jou un paysage sonore spontan ('sound-painting') pour chacune d'elle.\' * * * * * * Dieses Album wurde whrend des ungewhnlich kalten Winters 2006 in Zrich aufgenommen.\'Ich ging mit einer Handvoll von Bildern und Texten, die ich seit einiger Zeit gesammelt hatte, ins Studio. Diese Bilder legte ich eines um anderes auf den Notenstnder, und dann begann ich, spontane Soundscapes ('sound-painting') fr jedes Bild zu spielen.\'
