Take three guys (an IT professional, a college professor, and a director with National Public Radio) with varied influences (jazz, funk, blues, rock, punk) and decades of experience (clubs, festivals, radio, tv). Add in stability (each married with seven kids between them). Subtract egos and drama (none exist). What you get is a solid power trio with unique sounding original songs that will make you think both lyrically and musically. Artists we are inspired by include John Coltrane, George Benson & Thelonious Monk to Zeppelin, U2, Pink Floyd & the Beatles to Guadalcanal Diary, Drivin' n' Cryin', Jack White & Guided by Voices to Minutemen, Mike Watt and Black Flag. We sound like none of these bands. Soundgarden, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Government Mule and The Police are bands we have been told we sound similar to. Do we? Buy the record, decide, and let us know.
