Another Chapter

Halo Haven's Debut album, Another Chapter, reflects their vocalist, Erica Howton's struggles with family mortality, including her mother's suicide in 2009, among other life altering events that she has endured throughout life's endless chapters. Erica sees music as her safe haven, where she can release the troubles of the world and you can clearly hear her passion in every melody. Erica met Brett Poindexter, guitarist and backup vocalist, in 2011 while playing music in other bands. They shortly came together and began writing music together. Erica's catchy, yet heartfelt melodies and lyrics compliment Brett's intricate and sophisticated guitar melodies and time signatures. It's a unique blend of soaring alto to soprano vocals over deep, crunchy guitars. Ramsey Poindexter, Brett's brother and Halo Haven's drummer was a perfect fit as they've played music together for over 15 years. Surprisingly, they all moved up to Bend, Oregon from the San Francisco Bay Area at different time, except bassist, Tim Francis, who's lived in Central Oregon most of his life. Halo Haven appreciates Oregon's beauty and none of them could see themselves leaving, except of course to tour the world!
