Storytelling Side I / Simple Things

Independent Harmony Entertainment is proud to announce the arrival of Gwendolyn Collins' first full length CD, Storytelling, Side I, The Simple Things in the UK on Friday, 11 July 2014. Since August of last year, Gwendolyn Collins has released a series of digital tracks that maintained a constant presence on the Independent Breaking Artists and UK Soul Charts. This project represents the first time Gwendolyn's music will be available in UK stores. 'Storytelling Side I, The Simple Things is a compilation primarily of unreleased music. In advance of the CD release, one track, Be Happy, was sent to select DJs in the UK. Be Happy entered the charts on 3 July 2014 on the Independent Chart Show (UK) at number 13. Another tune from the CD, Take a Walk Soul Step Remix, is currently on the UK Soul Charts. Soul Brothers Records, who will be carrying the CD, Storytelling Side I, The Simple Things, considers the CD a, Nice laid back Independent Soul album from Gwendolyn Collins. The Sophisticated mellow two steppers 'Take A Walk With You' and 'Simple Things' are delightful and set the tone for this album. 'Promise to Yearn' and 'Share' continue the laid back seductive tone of the album and 'Peel me a Grape' is a nice Jazzy Soul track.' Soul Brothers considers the CD, 'one of the best mid-tempo quality soul albums that we have heard so far this year.'
