Product Description

The cornerstones of this record became the soft vocal sound of PSYCHOCANDY-era Jesus and Mary Chain coupled with the sonic sweetshop of daisy age hip-hop. Rhys was also listening to old 60s and 70s Welsh language pop, folk and progressive rock 7 inches, which influenced a lot of slow-mo solo acoustic numbers and built up a bedrock of varied sounds. This is an album of eleven songs for the acoustic guitar and voice.

'07年発表｡ｽｰﾊﾟｰ･ﾌｧｰﾘｰ･ｱﾆﾏﾙｽﾞのﾘｰﾀﾞｰ､ｸﾞﾘﾌのｿﾛ第二弾｡SFAという全体像に隠れて目立たないけれど､この人はもはやﾛﾋﾞﾝ･ﾋｯﾁｺｯｸやﾛﾊﾞｰﾄ･ﾎﾟﾗｰﾄﾞあたりと並ぶ､毎日曲が生まれてくるﾀｲﾌﾟのﾋﾗﾒｷ量産型のｼﾝｶﾞｰ･ｿﾝｸﾞﾗｲﾀｰだと思うのだけど､今作ではその片鱗を覗くことができる｡前作同様､必要最小限､簡潔な宅録ﾌﾟﾛﾀﾞｸｼｮﾝによるﾌｫｰｷｰ･ﾎﾟｯﾌﾟ･ﾁｭｰﾝが並ぶが､女性ｺｰﾗｽを入れるなど､前作よりももう少し丁寧にﾌﾟﾛﾃﾞｭｰｽされている印象｡曲も粒そろいで､SFAのｻｳﾝﾄﾞで聴いてみたいなぁと思う曲も幾つか｡でも､｢ｷｬﾝﾃﾞｨのﾗｲｵﾝ｡それは僕のﾌｪｲﾊﾞﾘｯﾄなｺﾝﾋﾞﾈｰｼｮﾝ♪｣と歌う可愛いらしいﾀｲﾄﾙ曲を筆頭に､ｿﾛ作ならではのﾌﾟﾗｲﾍﾞｰﾄで気のおけないﾘﾗｯｸｽした雰囲気こそがこのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑの最大の魅力だろう｡
