Gregory Hines

Digitally re-mastered edition of this 1988 album from the late dancer, actor and entertainer. The album was produced by Luther Vandross (who duets with Gregory on 'There's Nothing Better Than Love'). Gregory Hines was best known as a dancer and actor. During the mid-70s he became the lead singer of a West Coast rock band Severance, then in 1981 featured alongside Phyllis Hyman on Broadway in Sophisticated Ladies, a music revue on Broadway in tribute to Duke Ellington. Just after this he met Jimmy Cobb, a former drummer with Miles Davis on Kind of Blue. Jimmy Cobb invited Gregory to participate on his solo album So Nobody Else Can Hear, the title track of this 1983 album becoming a soul classic on the UK scene and previously reissued on Expansion.
