The Gords' 'Pick.' is an eleven song CD featuring three singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalists named Gord. Gord Maxwell, Gordie Matthews and Gordon Lee Worden to be exact. All three are alumni of the legendary Ian Tyson's trio, Gordie Matthews also was a key member of kd Lang and The Reclines. Tom McKillip, The Gords' producer, is another Tyson alumni. Pat Steward (The Odds, Bryan Adams) supplied the drumming talent. Engineered by Soren Lonnqvist at Studio Downe Under in Abbotsford BC, Canada. Extra tracks recorded at Vern Jenson Studio in Edmonton AB. Mixed by Chris Aiken at Studio 124 in Warsaw, Poland and mastered by Brad Blackwood at Euphonic Masters in Memphis TN, USA. All three Gords are family men whose writing reflects the perspective of juggling music careers with keeping the home fires burning. Each Gord is featured as a lead vocalist, and their harmonic blend must be heard to be believed. Fans of The Eagles, CSNY, The Thorns and folk-rock in general will love the sound and sensibility of The Gords.
