ジェリー・マリガン（Gerald Joseph Mulligan（Gerry Mulligan）1927年4月6日〜1996年1月20日）はアメリカ合衆国ニューヨーク市クイーンズ区生まれのジャズ・バリトン・サックス奏者、作曲家。アルバムは1957年の録音でジェリー・マリガンとポール・デスモンドとの夢の共演。その他の共演者はベースがジョー ベンジャミン、ドラムがデイブ・ベイリー。演奏は優れた技巧派の二人が旧知の友と錯覚するほど息が合っている。ジェリー・マリガンは優れたミュージシャンと多くの共演しアルバムを残したことが何とも素晴らしい。

　のちのＲＣＡ録音ほどホワ〜ンとしていないデスモンドの音色が生々しくて逆に新鮮です。ミディアムテンポの演奏を聴きながらウォーキングするのも悪くないかもしれません。
