共同プロデューサーにレイ・クーパーを迎えて制作された9作目。配給元からジャケットと5曲の差し替えの要請があったため当初の予定より約半年遅れでの発売となった。凶弾に倒れたジョン・レノンへの追悼の想いを込めた「過ぎ去りし日々」が全米2位／全英13位とヒット。ほかにもホーギー・カーマイケルのカヴァーや森林伐採などの環境問題に触れた「世界を救え」といったバラエティに富んだ楽曲を収録。全米11位／全英13位。（1981年発表）
