2010年発売の日本盤を購入。高音質、かつ、耳が疲れないマスタリングは、この作品の持つ良さを、存分に引き出せていると思います。ギターの弦の響きが、耳に心地良いです。11曲目の「ヒア・カムズ・ザ・ムーン (デモ・ヴァージョン) 」ですが、イメージ的には「ヒア・カムズ・ザ・ムーン (リプライズ) 」のようにも捉えることができ、ボーナストラックでありながら、アルバムの流れを損なっていないと感じました。

ジョージの最高傑作とも評価される一枚。この頃ジョージはレコードのセールスに興味を失っており、まともなプロモーションをほとんど行っていなかったのが残念です。華やかさでは、クラウドナインが上ですが、このアルバムには溢れる優しさがあります。

ＨＭＶのレビューを参考にして、最初に購入したジョージのアルバムでした。これがきっかけで、今ではすっかりジョン派からジョージ派へ。アルバム全体に漂う「優しさ」がまさに邦題の通りです。仕事で疲れが溜まった時は、心の安らぎを求めてよく聴いています。
