A departure from his first self-titled EP, Geniuses & Thieves is an artfully constructed record that is made up of sprawling electro-sonics and infectious hooks - an ambitious stride forward for one of Singapore's most exciting young artists. He draws from R&B influences that have him reaching impressive vocal heights with bluesy baritones and glossy falsettos. The new EP will be preceded by the official single, Run Tell Daddy - which follows the success of his street single of the same title, Geniuses & Thieves. Written by Joel Tan and produced by Yves Rothman and Josh Wei, Run Tell Daddy is a brilliant pop spectacle which ushers the listener into his brave new musical world. Waited one and a half years for this. I put a lot of expectation on this second record and spent months on each track in it. This is the best I could come up with and I hope people enjoy the new Gentle Bones record says Gentle Bones.
