Live For Rebirth

The best thing about Galneryus’s ”Live for Rebirth” DVD is the crystal clear sound quality. This makes each instrument stand out and give the sound a pretty decent dynamic range aswell... compared to their albums atleast. The only gripe I have with the sound is that we hardly ever hear the audience, which can make the concert experience kinda dull. But if you just wanne hear the songs the sound is great. On the main feature/concert you will find mostly songs from the ”Beyond the end of despair” CD, but also a handfull of songs from their two first albums. I do however miss more solo work from Syu and the rest of the band. They seem to have cut parts of the solos off the DVD, which is a shame. Apart from the main feature/concert the DVD contains a tour documentary aswell as three music videos (PV’s). The tour documentary includes a couple of songs you won’t find in the main concert, but the sound quality isn’t that good. All in all a good concert DVD which any Galneryus fan should be able to appreciate.

3rdで変貌したボーカルの声とメンバーの演奏技術が本物なのかを確かめる目的で購入しました(笑) 結果…本物だわ。 このバンドの演奏陣は凄いですね！演奏に関して言えばほぼ完璧です。ここまてライブで演奏できてるメロスピバンドは正直、海外にもなかなかいないと思いました。(ちゃんとSyuのギターソロでアップしてくれるのがいいですね！) ギターが一本だけなので再現しきれていない部分があるのは仕方ないですが、ここまでできていれば自分は全く文句ないです。ボーカルはハイトーン部分がやや苦しそうでしたが音を外すことはないですし。 課題は…やっぱりYAMA-Bさんのパフォーマンスでしょうか。曲のみならず、MCの台詞までクサいです(笑)それがいいのかも知れませんが、少し恥ずかしいような気がします。あと話し方が丁寧過ぎると言うのか…もっと攻撃的なセリフを吐いてもいいんじゃない？と思いましたね。真面目で優しそうな人なので仕方ないかな？

選曲的には良い感じのライブDVDなんだけど、楽曲を完全再現出来ていないところが×。ライブなだけに、Syuのギター1本での音なので、リズムギターパートが無くなってしまっている。ライブで同じように演奏できないのなら、ライブでやらないで欲しい。かなり物足りないです。
