Four Other Brothers is a unique group of four skilled jazz trumpet players playing the music of Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Duke Ellington, and much more. All professors at Illinois universities, they perform with an exceptional three-piece rhythm section (bass, piano, and drums). The Four Other Brothers are: Dr. Andrew Cheetham, trumpet professor at Eastern Illinois University Randall Reyman, trumpet professor and Director of Jazz Studies at Millikin University Dr. Todd Kelly, trumpet professor and Director of Jazz Studies at Bradley University Dr. John Cooper, Director of Jazz Studies at Western Illinois University The Four Other Brothers debut CD is'With Respect to Our Fathers'. It includes arrangements of music by some of the great trumpeters of the past, including Bix, Louis, Bubber Miley, Cootie Williams, and Bobby Hackett. The Four Other Brothers are accompanied by a fantastic rhythm section including Terry Brennan on piano, Adam Cunningham on bass, and Dan Quisenberry on drums. Four Other Brothers bring a wealth of jazz knowledge and expertise to every performance and clinic. All are skilled improvisers and outstanding clinicians/jazz historians.
