ラローチャとデ・ブルゴスとの「スペイン庭の夜」で作曲家のアンダルシア地方の心象風景である親しみ易い曲。ピアノ協奏曲みたいですが形式は交響曲詩曲となっています。本盤両主演者が本場物でスペイン様になって熱っぽく演奏、バックのLPOもロンドンオーケストラらしく融通性つけてよくついて来ていると思います。ラローチャによる同曲には同じDECCA?でアンセルメやデュトワ指揮による盤もあり微妙に異なるニュアンスを余裕があれば楽しみたいですね。女性ピアニスト打ってつけで良く作品の雰囲気を伝えている好演と思います。他は未聴です。
