Product Description

Tony Deimler has wanted to play piano, sing, and perform for as long as he can remember. In middle school, along with his good friend and bassist, Tom Herr, he set out to form the next great American rock band. It was the typical dream of youth. But Tony and Tom were no typical young rockers. Both were quite accomplished musicians having grown-up up in their school's music program, their church's youth bands, and on the stages of local music venues. Still, at the tender young age of 13, they weren't able to recruit other musicians in the neighborhood that fit their dream. Alex and Jacob Zug are two brothers with a deep passion for music. Way back in elementary school they started a YouTube channel to share their favorite tunes -- covering the likes of Jason Mraz, All American Rejects, The Fray, and Dave Matthews Band -- playing guitar, piano, drums, and violin. They, too, grew up in their school's music program and led their church's Praise and Worship band at a very young age. Having recorded more than a few sessions at his father's busy recording studio and having studied drums with jazz great Clyde Lucas, Jacob was building a solid reputation as a go to drummer at the tender age of 11. In spring 2010, the middle school jazz band instructor introduced the young drummer to the two rockers with a dream. From the first few measures it was apparent something special was about to happen. It took just two practices until Alex to joined the band. By the summer of 2010, Tony had his band. Tony Deimler, piano and vocals Tom Herr, electric bass, upright bass, cello Jacob Zug, drums, percussion, piano, midi keys and harmony vocals Alex Zug, electric and acoustic guitars, piano and vocals They even managed to recruit budding young sound engineer, Kyle Peters, to join their venture to help shape their sound between the professional gigs he was booking at the ripe young age of 15. They spent the first few months working on covers and perfecting a few songs Tony had written. 'Walk With Me,' 'Save Me' and 'By My Side.' Tom Herr brought in the classic 'Don't Roll the Dice,' and both Tony and Tom wrote 'Through The Door.' The Zug Brothers had a deal with their dad. They could finally get that X-box 360 they coveted if they began to write -- and they quickly contributed 'To The Light,' 'Don't Fade Away,' and 'The Woo Hoo Song'. The band played coffee houses, First Friday celebrations, and a few small parties surprising many attendees with their own original material. By the summer of 2011 the group managed to get a spot at the first annual LSP Live -- a battle of the bands competition hosted by the world's premiere live sound company, Clair Brothers. It was their first taste of a big show. And competing against bands (sometimes twice their age) they won the competition. By the fall of 2011 they seemed ready to for the studio. With the support of their parents, and the talented tracking and mixing engineer, David Patterson II at Echo Back Sound, they went into the studio. The result was their debut album, So Far. 12 tracks that showcase their writing and performing abilities and certainly belies their young age. The group took the spring of 2012 to get their publishing and legal work done. They own the rights to all of their material and formed an LLP to handle the business end of making music. So now between school, football, wrestling, high school band and orchestra they can write and perform the thing most important to them -- music.
