1978年に X・レイ・スペックスを脱退したサックス奏者のローラ・ロジックによって結成されたイギリスのポストパンクバンド、エッセンシャル・ロジック (Essential Logic)。1979年にラフトレードから発表されたデビューアルバム『Beat Rhythm News』が発売45周年を記念して、アルバム本編のほか、デビューシングル「Aerosol Burns」(1978年)、オリジナルプレス以来初めてのフィジカルリリースとなるEP『Wake Up』(1979年)、アルバム未収録のシングルＢ面曲「Flora Force」など、1978〜1983年のスタジオレコーディング音源を追加したデラックスエディションでリリース。
