I learned some time ago that songwriting is cheaper than therapy. I assumed that my songs were too tied to the oddities of my personal experience to be of much public value, but I have since found that there is a general hunger for authentic personal story. To my surprise, audiences latch on most tightly to those songs which speak to the peculiarities of having a neither/nor sense of gender in a culture that relentlessly programs either/or from the cradle to the grave. So, I wrote this collection for me, but it turns out that perhaps it has something to say to you as well.
