Some fifty years ago, the great Eric Dolphy reminded us that '...when you hear music, it's gone, into the air, never to be recaptured...' And over the years, I've had the fortune (or misfortune) of having witnessed many utterly great bands that have gone undocumented and unrecorded...'gone...into the air...' Although Equilateral has already issued two sparking gems of earlier studio CD 'documents', this wondrous band's art and music continues to evolve and expand. Individually, each member's artistic talents and merits can certainly stand on their own, but as a group, the mushroom cloud of musical explosion and the excitement generated from the compositions, the blowing, the overall jaw-dropping ensemble performance...it all continues to floor me! So I'm most pleased and proud to present to you this latest documentation of another set of impressive compositions and dynamite performances from Equilateral! This is the stuff!!...from the finest unit that this area has ever produced!!
