1935年ミラノ生まれ、50 年代から活動を始め、幾枚かの素晴らしいトリオ作品を残し、ヨーロッパに限らずこの日本でも神格化された存在のジャズ・ピアニスト、エンリコ・イントラ。今回、彼の62年イタリア・コロンビアからリリースされた彼の作品としての初LPとなる、『Jazz In Studio』（中古盤相場30万円！！）を、正式にリイシュー。

5ヶ月間のスタジオ・リハーサルの上に完成させた、一種、捧げもののようなアルバムとは、エンリコ本人のコメント。観衆、評論家から大喝采を浴び、伝説となった57年のサンレモ音楽祭での名演から、この『Jazz In Studio』までが、ピュアでエモーショナル、ソウルフルな彼の音楽性が、このミュージック・ビジネスの世界で表現され得た、貴重な期間だったようです。

そして、今回のリイシューCD には、4 曲のボーナストラックが収録されており、その内容はなんと、先のサンレモのライヴ音源による57年のデビューEP のトラック全てなのです。このEP は、『Jazz In Studio』と共に激レアであり最高傑作の呼び声も高いものです。
