英国の名女優ペギー・アシュクロフトの孫でもあるフランスの女性シンガー・ソングライター、作家、エミリー・ロワゾー。幼少のころからピアノを学び、クラシックの素養を身に着けながら、Georges Brassens、Bob Dylan、The Beatlesといったポップ/ロックからも大きな影響を受け、クラシカルなセンスを感じさせるサウンドと文学性の高い歌詞による独自の世界を作り上げた。本作は2009年の『Pays sauvage』以来3年ぶりの3rdアルバム。#2、#11、#18では英国の詩人William Blakeの詩を取り上げている以外は、全曲エミリーが作詞・作曲・アレンジを担当。（一部Tatiana Mladenovitch、Sébastien Bureauが作曲で参加）#11ではDavid-Ivar Herman Düneがゲスト参加しているのも話題。（メーカー資料より）
